About Mayor Donna Pittman
Mayor Pittman is a native of DeKalb County and longtime Doraville resident. She has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to improving her community long before becoming an elected official. Mayor Pittman studied criminal justice and other aspects of law enforcement early in her career and served with the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.
She is a strong supporter of education and gives back by mentoring youth; the future of our city. She is one of the original members of the board of directors that helped establish Peachtree Middle School, and she has served on the DeKalb Board of Education Advisory Board.
As an advocate for community policing and public safety initiatives, economic development and community building, she is a member of the DeKalb Emergency Management Agency, the Peachtree Gateway Partnership, DeKalb Municipal Association and has served on the DeKalb County Board of Health. Mayor Pittman has received numerous acclamations, including from the State of Georgia, the Consulate General, Cross Keys High School and other state, county and local organizations.
Mayor Pittman is a proud wife of a Marine and mother of four children.
